Rimmel Stay Matte Primer

Image
The next primer I will review is the Rimmel Stay Matte Primer. This primer is a white cream based primer. I bought this for USD $5.97 on Amazon which would be JMD $850 currently. It's on the cheaper side and as I've said, I LOVE to find budget friendly items that work. For this product, I saw a promoted advertisement on Instagram and it caught my eye. I thought, "here is another budget friendly product I could get and hopefully it works 👀😁" . So, like the addict I am, I bought it. Upon trying it for the first time, I realized that it made my face dry which to me is a good sign because that simply means that my makeup will be able to last longer. It definitely worked to make my makeup last longer without having to touch up. The only problem is that it makes your face white if you use too much or don't blend it out properly. It makes your makeup look lighter than your skin. Other than that, it's a pretty good budget friendly primer and I would definitely recom...

Beauty Creations Poreless Face Primer

This is the Beauty Creations Poreless Face Primer. I bought this primer in 2018 or 2019 for around JMD $700. It's a gel based primer. For this primer, a little can go a long way, so don't drench your face with it, you might have to wipe it off and reapply. Honestly, I love this primer. It was my second attempt at finding a primer that could make my skin not look sweaty after minutes. After using this primer,my make up lasted for hours without looking like someone threw water in my face. My T-zone was oily but it wasn't as bad as how I looked without wearing primer or how I looked when I used the Santee face primer. As for the issue of large pores, it did not correct it but I was able to overlook that flaw because my makeup could be applied flawlessly. I would definitely recommend this product to anyone who is just starting out and is looking for a cheap but good enough primer. Rating (out of 5): 3

Santee Face Primer

I will start by saying that, this is a very CHEAP primer and it was my very first primer. Upon watching YouTube videos and learning that primer was an essential step in makeup application, especially for oily skin, I had to hop on the train. I was just starting my makeup journey so of course I had no idea that various primers had various uses. I just did what I usually do when I go shopping, find the cheapest product (I'm sure everyone is guilty of this). The cost at the time (2016) was JMD $200+. I was excited because I thought that I would no longer have to worry about pores and oily skin. Boy was I DEAD WRONG . THIS PRIMER DID NOTHING FOR MY FACE, emphasis on the 'NOTHING'. My face looked like it was melting within 20 minutes of using this product. My entire face was oily. For those wondering, it's a gel based primer. I would not recommend this product to anyone with oily or combination skin. Out of 5, I would rate it a solid 1. Maybe the case will be different if y...
